The Downtown Association of Forest Grove is expanding our leadership team, and we’re inviting passionate, community-minded volunteers to join one of our Four-Point Committees. These committees are the beating heart of a thriving Main Street program, and your service directly shapes events, revitalization, economic growth, and the vibrancy of our historic core.

These roles are perfect for residents, business owners, students, retirees, creatives, civic do-ers, and anyone who wants to leave a lasting mark on Forest Grove. No experience required—just enthusiasm, reliability, and a love for downtown.

Committee Opportunities

1. Promotion Committee

Help us tell the story of Downtown Forest Grove. This team builds engaging events, designs marketing campaigns, supports social media, and creates the fun, welcoming atmosphere that draws people to shop, dine, stroll, and celebrate. If you love planning events, crafting messages, or bringing energy to downtown—this is your stage.

2. Design Committee

Shape the look, feel, and beauty of our downtown. Volunteers help with streetscape improvements, public art, seasonal décor, holiday lighting, beautification projects, and collaborative ideas to make downtown more welcoming year-round. Perfect for people with an eye for design, creativity, or just a love of making spaces shine.

3. Economic Vitality Committee

Strengthen business growth and downtown’s long-term economic health. This team works on business retention and expansion, market data projects, partnerships with property owners, façade improvement programs, and strategies that help small businesses thrive. Great for people with an interest in entrepreneurship, economics, or strategic planning.

4. Organization Committee

Support the backbone of our Main Street effort. This committee focuses on fundraising, partnerships, volunteer coordination, governance, board development, and long-term sustainability. Ideal for detail-oriented folks, networkers, nonprofit supporters, and behind-the-scenes organizers who keep things running smoothly.

Time Commitment

Most committees meet once per month. Average hours per month can be from 5hrs - 8hrs depending on your involvement.
